In a leadless MLF package measuring 3 mm x 3 mm, the MIC2213 and MIC2214 LDO regulators extend battery life in cell phones and other portables with an active power consumption of 48 µA. Each device contains two LDO regulators, a power-on reset (POR) supervisor, and an open-drain driver. The first regulator (LDO1) is capable of sourcing 150 mA of current while the second (LDO2), which includes the POR circuit, can source 300 mA. The MIC2213 allows sequencing between two LDO outputs; otherwise, it is identical to the MIC2214. The two devices also include a low dropout voltage of 120 mV at 150 mA, ±1% initial accuracy and ±2% over temperature, settling time of less than 10 µs, a logic-enable input, current limiting, and thermal shutdown. Prices start at $0.90 each/1,000 with delivery from stock to eight weeks ARO. For more details, call Carolyn Lajoie at MICREL SEMICONDUCTOR, San Jose, CA. (510) 476-5963.
