The use of trench gate technology has allowed for the shrinking of two new strobe flash IGBTs to fit into the miniature SOP-8 outline package for an approximate 60% volume reduction when compared to the MP-3 package. The chips-- the CY20AAJ-8 and CY25AAJ-8-- require only 4V for driving. The devices are specifically designed for strobe flash camera applications requiring a high peak current handling capability for short durations. Both devices are available for sampling. Sample pricing is $2.12 each for the CY20AAJ-8 and $2.34 each for the CY25AAJ-8.
