Available in either an SC-70 or ThinSOT package measuring less than 1 mm in height, the LT3460 step-up switching regulator employs an internal 300 mA switch that can deliver output voltages up to 36V from input voltages of 2.5V to 16V. The device switches at 1.3 MHz, allowing the use of small, low-cost capacitors and inductors. With an input voltage of 5V, output voltage and current are 12V and 70 mA, respectively, and shutdown current is less than 1 µA.
