The LT3024 is a low dropout (LDO) micropower regulator with dual outputs, 3.3V at 500 mA and 2.5V at 100 mA. Designed for battery-powered systems, its 30 µA quiescent current draw at each output allows it to maximize battery run time. It operates over an input voltage range of 1.8V to 20V, delivering output voltages as low as 1.22V. Inputs can be from a single Li-Ion cell, multicell alkaline/NiMH batteries, or a fixed voltage rail. Dropout voltage is 300 mV (at 100 mA and 500 mA), enabling low dropout applications such as a 3.6V input regulated to a 3.3V output. Output noise with a 0.01 µF bypass capacitor is 20 µVRMS over a bandwidth of 10 Hz to 100 kHz. Internal protection circuitry includes reverse battery protection, current limiting, thermal limiting and reverse current protection. The regulator is supplied in either a thermally enhanced TSSOP-16 package or a 12-lead 4 mm x 3 mm DFN package. Pricing starts at $2.45 each/1,000.
