Tailored for use with low-voltage DC/DC converters, the IR3725 input power monitor employs a digital I2C interface and patent-pending TruePower technology to output average power during a specified interval. This information is used by the system controller to optimize overall power consumption to deliver a current accuracy of 1%. With a voltage accuracy of 1.5%, the device provides with the option of using resistive sensing or inductor DCR current sensing with an internal thermal compensation feature. Other features include a voltage-input range from 8V to 23.5V, bias supply of 3.3V ±5%, and an operating temperature range from -10?C to +150?C. Available in a lead-free, 12-pin DFN package, pricing for the IR3725MTRPBF begins at $1.25 each/10,000. For more information, contact Graham Robertson at INTERNATIONAL RECTIFIER, El Segundo, CA.
