Groomed for use with SiRF’s navigation processors, the AS3650 supports the SiRFprima multifunction location platform by managing both power and audio features. The device provides complete system-power management, battery management, linear and USB charging, a backlight driver for various screen sizes, and a touch-screen interface. Audio functionality comes via an integrated DAC, ADC, audio mixer, and several audio inputs and outputs. Reference designs with AS3650 and the SiRFprima processors will be available in the second quarter.
