Three devices expand the Green FPS line of off-line power switches that employ burst mode operation for standby mode (under 0.1W at 265 Vac) to satisfy the International Energy Agency’s (IEA) 1W Initiative. The FSCQ series includes the 100W FSCQ0765RT, 170W FSCQ1265RT, and the 200W FSCQ1565RT. Similar to their predecessors, they integrate a fully avalanche-rated SenseFET and current mode PWM IC in a single TO-220F-5L package. The packages are lead-free and meet or exceed the requirements of the joint IPC/JEDEC standard J-STD-020B and are compliant with the European Union requirements, which will take effect in 2005. Prices for the FSCQ0765RT, FSCQ1265RT, and FSCQ1565RT are $1.49, $2.23, and $2.36 each/1,000, respectively. FAIRCHILD SEMICONDUCTOR, San Jose, CA. (408) 822-2314.
