Manufactured using current CMOS techniques, the XC6206 series of positive-voltage, low dropout (LDO) regulators has a typical power consumption of just 1 µA. The regulators combine a current limiter circuit, driver transistor, precision reference voltage, and an error correction circuit in either a SOT-23 or SOT-89 package. With an input voltage range from 1.8V to 6V, output voltage can be internally set by laser trimming, selectable in 0.1V increments over a range of 1.2V to 5V. For a 5V device, the output current is greater than 250 mA. At 100 mA, dropout voltage is typically 160 mV and 400 mV when output is 200 mA. Price is $0.50 each/1,000.
