Thanks to an integrated low-dropout (LDO) controller, the IRU3073 dual-output synchronous pulse-width modulation (PWM) controller enables a second output voltage using a single external MOSFET. Both low- and high-side drivers can be biased separately, eliminating external components for charge-pump circuitry for 5-V applications when a 12-V bias voltage is available. Programmable switching frequencies range from 200 to 400 kHz. Other features include capacitor-programmable soft start and an uncommitted error amplifier for double-data-rate (DDR) voltage-tracking applications. Pricing for the 16-pin QSOP is $0.70 each in lots of 1000.
