Miniature TCVCXO Delivers Excellent Stability

Feb. 5, 2007
With its small size and high stability, the Bliley Technologies T85B Stratum III temperature-compensated, voltage-controlled crystal oscillator is a good choice for wireless and wireline communications devices.

The latest in a series of temperature-compensated, voltage-controlled crystal oscillators (TCVCXOs) from Bliley Technologies Inc., the T85B Stratum III, is designed for wireless and wireline communications applications that demand high frequency stability in a miniature device. Fitting in a 5- by 7-mm surface-mount package, the T85B is well-suited for use in cellular infrastructure, point-to-point radios, broadband access devices, and test equipment.

Specifications for the TCVCXO include ±0.28-ppm frequency stability over temperature, ±4.6-ppm frequency stability over all conditions (20 years of aging), an operating range of 5 to 52 MHz, and an operating temperature range of -40°C to 85°C. Voltage-controlled frequency tuning is optional, as are clipped sine wave outputs. The standard output is CMOS. Supply options include 3.3 or 5 V. The ceramic SMD package is RoHS-compliant.
