The TES-5 series of 5-W dc-dc converters from PowerGate LLC comes in small 1.3- by 0.81- by 0.40-in. surface-mount encapsulated packages, making them well-suited for battery-powered equipment, instrumentation, communication systems, and industrial controls. The high-performance series consists of 21 models offering 9- to 18-, 18- to 36-, and 36- to 75-V dc input ranges with single and dual outputs from 3.3 to 15 V dc.

Operating temperature range is −40°C to 85°C, and efficiency runs from 76% to 85%. The devices feature 1500-V isolation, short-circuit protection, remote on/off control, and high accuracy of pin co-planarity. They meet EN 55022/FCC level A emissions standards, are lead-free, and RoHS-compliant. The converters are qualified to CSA/UL/EN 60950-1 safety standards.
