Well-suited for use where space is at a premium, the AA05/10N Series of AMPSS 5W and 10W surface-mount dc-to-dc converters stands only 0.31" high and occupies an area less than 1 inch square. The converters have adjustable non-isolated, step-down outputs and are available in models that accept 3.3V, 5V or 12V and output 2.1V, 3.3V or 5V. And line regulation is ±1% with a 2A max. output. The dc-to-dc converters also offer a wide, -40°C to 85°C operating temperature range and meet UL1950, EN60950 and CSA22.2-950 safety standards. The converters are said to provide a low-cost solution for point-of-load conversion in portable, telecomm and industrial applications where an isolated main power source already exists.
