Thanks to their efficiencies of 90% or better, the PowerQor series of fully isolated, modular dc-to-dc power converters produces only half the dissipated heat of competing products, it's claimed, and enables designers to eliminate the use of heatsinks and their associated overhead. The series includes output voltages of 15V, 12V, 5V, 3.3V, 2.5V, 2V and 1.5V. All models accept a 48V nominal input (range: 36V to 75V) and deliver either 150W or 30A to their output. All use MOSFET synchronous rectifiers, as well as the firm's fixed-frequency topology to achieve rectification at minimal loss, even at very low output voltages. With a power density of 68W/in.3, the series provides 2.5X the true power density of a typical dc-to-dc converter with a 0.5" tall heatsink, it's claimed.
