The 200W and 300W FES family of open-frame dc-to-dc converters relies on the firm's high-efficiency design technology to deliver up to 89% efficiency at 5V (200W version) and up to 87% efficiency at 3.3V. The full-brick units measure 4.6" x 2.4" x 0.5". They use advanced planar magnetics, synchronous rectification, and the firm's open-frame packaging to provide high thermal performance and reliability. Input range is 36 to 75 vdc; output voltages are 2.5V, 3.3V or 5V. The 200W version delivers 40A of output current while the 300W models produce 60A. A full complement of safety features includes 1500 vdc isolation, output overvoltage protection, input undervoltage lockout, and short-circuit protection. The FES family also has remote enable and sense pins, as well as a voltage adjust pin that allows for a ±10% trim range.
