With a typical knee current of just 4 µA, the ZXRE1004 voltage reference is a boon to designers seeking low power operation with extended battery life. The trend toward reduced system operating voltages is also decreasing reference voltage requirements to 1.25 V. As a result, this micropower bandgap reference is designed to provide a 1.22V output. The SOT-23 device is five times smaller than common SO-8 parts and will be useful in many space- and power-restricted applications. Alternatively, SO-8 and TO-92 versions provide designers with a high-performance, pin-compatible source. Accuracies are 1%, 2% and 3%.
