In applications where both 3.3V and 5V power supplies must be monitored, the IMP1834 microprocessor supervisors operate with up to 40% lower supply current. The ICs are pin-compatible versions of three Dallas Semiconductor parts. The 5V supply current monitor typically draws 16µA (30µA maximum). The chip individually monitors 5V and 3.3V power supplies. Users can independently select the 5V and 3.3V tolerance thresholds through two select pins. For a 3.3V supply, tolerance levels are 10% or 20% and for 5V systems, they're 5% or 10%. A single debounced pushbutton reset input is included. Typical applications include network hubs, routers and switches, data acquisition systems, portable instrumentation, fiber-optic switches, and industrial control systems.
