Three Little Foot power MOSFETs offer greatly improved specifications for notebook computer and CPU point-of-use dc/dc conversion applications. The N-channel, PWM-optimized devices give designers a choice of the best combination of on-resistance, gate charge and switching speed for their applications. For designs with higher load current, the Si4880DY offers on-resistance of 8.5 milliohms at a 10V gate drive with gate charge of 19.5 nC and turn-off time of 46 ns. For designs that need the fastest possible switching, the Si4800DY turns off in just 22 ns with on-resistance of 18.5 milliohms and gate change of 8.7 nC. The Si4890DY is in the middle with on-resistance of 12 milliohms, gate charge of 14 nC and turn-off time of 35 ns.
