The TPS56300 power supply controller and TPS701xx family of dual, low-dropout (LDO) voltage regulators provide on-chip circuitry to ensure proper power-up and power-down sequencing while enabling designers to build sequencing into their systems

The TPS56300 power supply controller and TPS701xx family of dual, low-dropout (LDO) voltage regulators provide on-chip circuitry to ensure proper power-up and power-down sequencing while enabling designers to build sequencing into their systems without additional components or design effort. Suited for use with dual-voltage microprocessors, the TPS56300 power supply controller accepts an input voltage range from 2.8V to 5.5V. One output channel operates as an LDO regulator using an external n-channel MOSFET and also functions as a power distribution switch when the input equals the output. The other channel uses a switching regulator for powering the core and both channels are configured to supply power to core I/O circuitry. The low-current TPS701xx LDO regulators provide a complete solution for split-voltage processors in power-conserving applications. Typical applications include Internet audio players, remote access servers, and other battery-operated systems.
