New MOSFET Eyes RF Power Amp Apps

April 1, 2000
Consisting of a matched pair of power MOSFETs in a common source configuration, the ARF450 device is designed for push-pull or parallel operation in scientific, commercial, medical and industrial RF power amplifier applications rated up to 120 MHz.

Consisting of a matched pair of power MOSFETs in a common source configuration, the ARF450 device is designed for push-pull or parallel operation in scientific, commercial, medical and industrial RF power amplifier applications rated up to 120 MHz. With a rated power dissipation of 650W and capable of operating from 150V, the new MOSFET is said to be uniquely suited for use in high frequency RF power generators.
The RF FET's higher operating impedance makes matching and power combining easier and lowers total system cost. And linear operation is also possible at lower operating voltages. Call for pricing. Evaluation samples are available.
