Enhancing its portfolio of power management devices, the company has introduced three new charge pump voltage converters. The MC1121 is a charge pump converter with an output current up to 100 mA and a power saving shutdown mode. The device acts as an inverter, converting a 2.4V to 5.5V input to a corresponding negative output voltage. It also acts as a voltage doubler by doubling the applied input voltage. Only two external capacitors are required for standard voltage inverter applications. The MAX828 and MAX829 are CMOS charge pump voltage converters that invert and/or double an input voltage that ranges from 1.5V to 5.5V. The control, oscillator and power MOSFETs are integrated into these devices. In addition, they require only two external capacitors for standard voltage inverter applications. Housed in a Micro* package, the MC1121 is priced at $1.18 each/10,000. Both the MAX828 and MAX829 are priced at $0.65 each/12,000.
