Self crowned as the industry’s first four-line protection device to meet USB 2.0 requirements, the NUP4201 integrates steering diodes to direct transients to either the positive side or to ground. An internal transient voltage suppression diode prevents transient over-voltage on both power and data lines. Ensuring data line speed and integrity, the device exhibits a line-to-line capacitance of 2.5 pF typical and a maximum of 5 pF. It supports Intel’s 64-bit Itanium and Pentium IV processors and can be used to protect USB 1.1/2.0 power and data lines, T1/E1 and T3/E3 secondary ICs, HDSL and IDSL secondary ICs, video lines, microcontroller inputs, base stations, and I2C buses.
