With voltage ratings from 600V to 1.2 kV and a current rating of 150A at a case temperature of 125°C, the 150U(R) series 235A, standard-recovery stud-mount rectifier diodes are suited for high-tension industrial applications. Four devices in DO-8 packages make up the series. Operating over a -40°C to 180°C temperature range, the 150U(R)60D, 150U(R)80D, 150U(R)100D and 150U(R)120D have voltage ratings of 600V, 800V, 1 kV and 1.2 kV, respectively. They are manufactured with a unique process that combines brazed-die construction with a compressed assembly, said to bolster reliability and ruggedness, as well as stable forward-voltage characteristics over the life of the component. Targeted applications include welding, machine tool controls, battery chargers, and power supplies. Available in anode-to-case and cathode-to-case versions with U.S. and European threads, pricing begins at $12.89 each/1,000 for the 150U(R)120D. INTERNATIONAL RECTIFIER, El Segundo, CA.
