Based on proprietary, Floating Gate Analog (FGA) technology, the X60008CIS8-50 and X60008DIS8-50 5V references guarantee an absolute initial accuracy to ±0.5 mV and ±1 mV and straight-line temperature coefficients of 5 ppm/°C and 10

Based on proprietary, Floating Gate Analog (FGA) technology, the X60008CIS8-50 and X60008DIS8-50 5V references guarantee an absolute initial accuracy to ±0.5 mV and ±1 mV and straight-line temperature coefficients of 5 ppm/°C and 10 ppm/°C, respectively; long-term stability for both devices is 10 ppm/1,000 hr. The eight-lead SOIC voltage references achieve these performance levels while consuming just 500 nA of supply current. According to the company, FGA technology involves storing reference voltages as precisely controlled charges on floating gate devices. This is said to yield devices that outperform those made using existing, buried-zener and band-gap technologies. Both of the new 5V references have a noise voltage of 30 µVP-P from 0.1 Hz to 10 Hz, sink/source current of 10 mA, and an operating temperature range from -40°C to 85°C. Prices for X60008CIS8-50 and X60008DIS8-50 start at $4.55 and $3.15 each/1,000, respectively. XICOR INC., Milpitas, CA. (408) 546-3317.
