Titled as the industry's first synchronous rectifier module for isolated power supplies, the SRM4010 is rated at 40A and is designed for supplies requiring an output voltage of 1V to 5V. For ease of installation, the module connects directly to the isolation transformer's secondary windings. A proprietary timing control prevents cross conduction and minimizes MOSFET body diode conduction. Another patented control, Predictive Timing PLUS, promises reliable operation under any operating condition, such as current or voltage mode control and hot load swapping. It adapts automatically to continuous and discontinuous load current conditions. Primarily intended for single- or double-ended forward topologies, modules can be configured in parallel for higher-current applications. Available in a 0.8" x 0.8" x 0.28" surface-mount package with a thermal resistance of 0.35°C/W, price is $17.43 each/1,000. MICROSEMI CORP., Irvine, CA. (303) 469-2161.
