Claiming to strike a balance between price and performance, the REF31xx family of series-mode voltage references exhibit a drift of 15 ppm/°C maximum. The family includes devices with 1.25, 2.048, 2.5, 3.0, 3.3, and 4.096V output voltages, and they are capable of sinking and sourcing up to 10 mA of output current over a supply range up to 5.5V. The references do not require a load capacitor and are reported as being stable with any capacitive load. Unloaded, they can be operated on a supply within 1 mV of the output voltage. Operating temperature range is –40°C to +125°C. Price is $1.10 each/1,000. TEXAS INSTRUMENTS INC., Dallas, TX. (800) 477-8924.
