The SP6134 and SP6137 are the latest members of the company's family of 12V input synchronous step-down controllers. Available in 10-pin MSOP packages, operating frequencies are 600 kHz for the SP6134 and 900 kHz for the SP6137. Both devices rely on a PWM architecture that drives dual NFET switches with efficiencies as high as 94%. They feature a programmable output voltage range down to 0.8V and maintain 1.5% accuracy over a wide range of line, load, and temperature conditions. Other shared features include integrated 2A gate drivers that provide load-current capability up to 15A, under-voltage lockout, programmable soft start, and short-circuit protection. Pricing begins at $1.50 for the SP6134 and $1.75 for the SP6137 each/1,000. SIPEX CORP., Milpitas, CA. (408) 934-7500.
