For space-critical designs, the MAX5054 dual-MOSFET driver occupies a space of 3 mm x 3 mm in a thermally enhanced TDFN package, capable of dissipating up to 2W at +70°C. Each MOSFET sources and sinks up to 4A of peak current with a propagation delay of 20 ns. Propagation-delay matching between channels is typically 2 ns and less than ±10 ns from part to part. The device operates from a 4V to 15V supply and can withstand transients up to 18V. Two versions, the MAX5054A and MAX5054B, are available with CMOS- and TTL-logic inputs, respectively. Prices start at $0.78 each/1,000. MAXIM INTEGRATED PRODUCTS, Sunnyvale, CA. (800) 998-8800.
