Emerging as the industry’s first high-voltage, monolithic two-switch forward dc/dc regulator, the LM5015 sports an ultra-wide input voltage range from 4.25V to 75V and a maximum switching frequency to 750 kHz. In a 14-pin TSSOP, the device integrates two 75V n-channel MOSFET switches with a minimum 1A peak current limit within its two-switch forward architecture, which reduces system losses and noise. Operating frequency is set via a single resistor and is programmable up to 750 kHz and the oscillator can also be synchronized to an external clock. Protection features include cycle-by-cycle current limiting, thermal shutdown, under-voltage lockout, and remote shutdown capability. Available now, price for the LM5015 is $2.05 each/1,000.
