A 100V linear regulator, the ISL6719 delivers a steady, accurate voltage for a wide variety of apps in telecommunications and networking systems. Highly integrated, the chip performs the functions of up to 15 discrete components in a 3 mm x 3 mm package. It complements the ISL6720A 100V triple-output linear regulator and is suitable for use as a single start-up linear regulator in isolated power designs or as an output bias supply for point-of-load regulators. The control circuitry used in these applications typically requires an operating bias voltage significantly lower than the source voltage available to the converter, therefore they require a discrete linear regulator and the circuitry occupies significant space. The ISL6719 simplifies the start-up and operating bias by integrating these functions and many other features into one device. Available in a nine-lead, 3 mm x 3 mm DFN package, price is $1.25 each/100. In a nine-lead 3 mm x 3 mm DFN T+R, price is $1.27 each/100. INTERSIL CORP., Milpitas, CA. (888) 352-6832.
