With an eye on automotive markets, the MAX15008 and MAX15010 300-mA linear regulators integrate a voltage tracker and load-dump protection. They operate over a 5V to 40V supply range and withstand load-dump transients up to 45V. The devices provide a tracked output voltage capable of delivering up to 50 mA to a remote sensor. The voltage tracker specifies an accuracy within ±3 mV and includes battery-reversal and short-circuit protection. Both regulators offer independent enable controls for the linear regulator and a voltage tracker while the MAX15008 adds over-voltage protection. Other shared features include a quiescent current of 50 mA in a stand-alone configuration and 20 mA in shutdown mode. Available in 32-pin, 5 mm x 5 mm TQFN packages, pricing starts at $1.45 each/1,000. MAXIM INTEGRATED PRODUCTS, Sunnyvale, CA. (800) 998-8800.
