Groomed for ultra-compact camera designs, the HV892 inductor-less liquid lens driver in a 10-lead, assembly-ready DFN package measuring 4 mm x 4 mm is capable of driving capacitive loads up to 200 pF and is compatible with 40 to 60 Vrms lenses. Its H-bridge output stage provides ac drive to the lens, allowing the use of a single integrated high-voltage boost converter while providing alternating polarity to the lens. The device draws less than 20 mA when active and less than 1 mA in standby mode. Other features include patented charge pump technology, an I2C interface, and guaranteed monotonicity to eliminate false best-focus situations. Pricing for the HV892K7-G is $2.08 each/1,000.
