The UCC28950 phase-shifted full-bridge PWM controller with synchronous MOSFET control outputs and light load power management can achieve efficiencies above 90% from light load to full load, enabling it to meet 90+ Climate Savers efficiency standards. The device features a 10:1 wide range adaptive zero voltage switching control scheme. It also has optimized adaptive control for the output synchronous rectifiers including on/off control to optimize efficiency at lighter loads. Other features include synchronous rectifier outputs, advanced power management functions, soft start with enable function, and a sync-in and sync-out function with 90° phase shift. Available in a TSSOP-24 package, price for the UCC28950 is $4.25 each/1,000.  TEXAS INSTRUMENTS INC., Dallas, TX. (800) 477-8924.
