The FDPF5N50NZ and the FDPF8N50NZ N-channel MOSFETS are based on Fairchild’s Planar technology, which allegedly offers a better figure of merit. The FDPF5N50NZ is a 500V, 4.5A, 1.5? device, featuring an RDS(ON) of 1.38?. The FDPF8N50NZ is a 500V, 8A, 0.85? device that features an RDS(ON) of 0.77?. Prices for the FDPF5N50NZ and FDPF8N50NZ are $0.69 and $0.86 each/1,000, respectively. FAIRCHILD SEMICONDUCTOR, San Jose, CA. (800) 341-0392.
