The SC197 500-mA, dual-output, point-of-load (POL) regulator combines two PWM dc/dc regulators in 2 x 3 x 0.6 mm package. With a power efficiency up to 94%, the device is a higher efficiency alternative to LDOs. Other features include integrated four-bit VID pins, loop compensation, a 3.5-MHz fixed PWM switching frequency, operation is from inputs of 2.9V to 5.5V, 15 pin-programmable output voltages from 0.8V to 3.3V, and full protection features.
