DC/DC Controller Deliver ± Regulated Voltages

Oct. 24, 2011
The LT3759 DC/DC controller for boost, SEPIC and inverting power supply applications, generates either positive or negative regulated output voltages.

The LT3759 DC/DC controller for boost, SEPIC and inverting power supply applications, generates either positive or negative regulated output voltages. The device packs two voltage feedback error amplifiers and reference voltages and operates over an input range from 1.6V to 42V. With a programmable and synchronizable operating frequency from 100 kHz to 1 MHz, its fixed frequency, current-mode control architecture results in stable operation over a wide range of supply and output voltages. Additional features include programmable soft-start, a 50-mV current sense threshold, programmable under-voltage lockout with hysteresis, a power good signal, and output over-voltage and over-current protection. Price starts at $2.35 each/1,000. LINEAR TECHNOLOGY CORP., Milpitas, CA. (800) 454-6327.
