New dual-output racks built to house HFE1600 power supplies allows users to install supplies with different output voltages on either side of the rack’s split power bus. Each half of the 1U-height HFE1600D1U racks from TDK-Lambda can deliver 3040 W, for a total of 6080 W. Up to two power racks containing up to eight HFE1600 power supplies can be zero-stacked (no space required between racks) for higher-power architectures. HFE1600 supplies come in output voltages of 12, 24, 32, and 48 V dc that are programmable by resistance, external voltage, or by an optional PMBus-compatible I2C interface. Racks come with either screw terminal inputs or IEC-320-C16 connections. The more-flexible rack design facilitates creation of hot-swappable power architectures for applications such as data centers, wireless basestations, industrial automation, telecom, RF power amplifiers, etc.
