2-W DC-DCs Meet Rigid Medical-Equipment Standards

Dec. 11, 2013
The ML200MHI family of 2-W dc-dc converters, fully approved to EN 60950 and EN 60601, meet the stringent isolation, reinforced insulation, and low leakage requirements of medical-grade equipment.

The ML200MHI family of 2-W dc-dc converters, fully approved to EN 60950 and EN 60601, meet the stringent isolation, reinforced insulation, and low leakage requirements of medical-grade equipment. Operating from 5-, 12-, and 24-V dc inputs, the 15 models in the family provide single and dual outputs of 5, 12, 15, ±12, or ±15 V dc. Features include I/O isolation of 400 V ac rms, 2-µA maximum leakage current, and tight regulation. Mean time between failure (MTBF) per MIL HDBK 217F is greater than 2.0 Mhours. Operating temperature ranges from −25 to +80°C (ambient). The RoHS-compliant converters come in a miniature surface-mount case. In addition, they’re available on tape and reel for use with automated assembly equipment.
