2512-Sized Chip Resistor Sinks Heat Rise To New Low

Dec. 13, 2013
According to Stackpole, its RHC2512 chip resistor offers the lowest heat rise in a 2512-sized chip resistor.

According to Stackpole, its RHC2512 chip resistor offers the lowest heat rise in a 2512-sized chip resistor. The materials, part design, and manufacturing processes employed by the company lower the self-heating of the high-power, 2-W rated device by at least 30°C. The RHC2512 comes in values from 0.1 Ω to 1 MΩ in 1% and 5% tolerances. Temperature coefficient of resistance (TCR) is 100 ppm. Applications include professional, commercial, and industrial power systems; control systems; and industrial and commercial automation. Medical applications include physical therapy equipment, biomed, fluid dynamics, heat transfer, and dispensing equipment. The part will also find homes in audio applications, high-speed communication, thermostats and HVAC, metering, avionics, and instrumentation.
