Designed for higher-voltage applications in electrical equipment used in hazardous locations, the PICO 305 series 277-V Intrinsically Safe Fuse offers an extended range of amperage ratings with a 1500-A interrupting capacity and current rating options from 50 to 750 mA.

Designed for higher-voltage applications in electrical equipment used in hazardous locations, the PICO 305 series 277-V Intrinsically Safe Fuse offers an extended range of amperage ratings with a 1500-A interrupting capacity and current rating options from 50 to 750 mA. According to developer Littelfuse, it’s the first 277-V fuse to be certified under the latest revision of the UL9312 Safety Standard for Intrinsically Safe Apparatus and Associated Apparatus. It also meets ATEX and IECEx requirements. In particular, it’s targeted at environments where there’s danger of gas or dust explosion from faulty circuits, such as in oil, gas, mining, chemical, and pharmaceutical industries. The fuse and its encapsulant prevent heat and sparks from being exposed to the hazardous gases or dust. It suits intrinsically safe apparatus for voltages not exceeding 277 V rms. Applications include testing, measurement, or processing electronic and electrical equipment; motor controllers; lighting; communication handsets; and flow meters, among other intrinsically safe apparatus.
