Three New Li-Polymer Batteries Boost Capacity In Smaller Form Factors

Feb. 20, 2014
The Renata Batteries division of the Swatch Group added three new lithium-polymer batteries to its rechargeable product line.

The Renata Batteries division of the Swatch Group added three new lithium-polymer batteries to its rechargeable product line. The latest 3.7-V batteries feature smaller, lower-profile flexible foil cells and higher power capacity: The lightweight (1.7 g), 19.5- by 10.2- by 3.7-mm ICP341018PA battery pack, with 35-mAh typical capacity, suits applications restricted by space and weight. The ultra-thin 52.0- by 34.5- by 3.5-mm ICP303450PA battery pack delivers 500-mAh typical capacity for applications that require a low mounted profile. Finally, the 71.0- by 62.0- by 6.7-mm ICP606168PRT battery pack is a higher-capacity power source, supplying 2700 mAh. All of the batteries have a lifecycle of more than 500 cycles (at 80% minimum capacity), and an internal safety circuit to prevent overcharging or deep discharge conditions.
