450-W Medical Power Supplies Meet Patient-Contact App Requirements

June 4, 2014
The EOS Power LFMWLT450 medical-approved series of power supplies comply with patient-contact (BF) rated applications, with proper system considerations.

The EOS Power LFMWLT450 medical-approved series of power supplies comply with patient-contact (BF) rated applications, with proper system considerations. The single-output power supplies, developed by PowerGate, feature 5-, 12-, 15-, 24-, 30-, and 48-V dc outputs, and are rated 2X Means of Patient Protection (MOPP) (5940 V dc isolation) input to output; 1X MOPP (2121 V dc isolation) input to Earth; and 1X MOPP (2121 V dc isolation) output to Earth. Output power is 300 W when convection cooled, and 450 W with 420 LFM airflow or optional top or end-mount fan over. Other features include 90% efficiency, 0.4 W load power consumption at 120 V ac, dual fused input protection, power fail and power good, remote on/off, remote sense, auxiliary 12 V at 500-mA fan output, and 5 VSB at 2-A output power. Optional current share is available for redundant operation. The supplies come housed in a 4- by 6.5- by 1.61-in. U-channel chassis with options for top and end-mounted fan assemblies.
