TI’s TPS53661, TPS53641 and TPS53631 dc/dc controllers, and CSD95372B and CSD95373B NexFET smart power stages combine to form a complete digital multiphase Vcore power management system for powering the latest Intel Xeon processors. The TPS536x1 dc/dc controllers support 6-, 4- and 3-phase operation respectively, and incorporate TI’s advanced D-CAP+ control architecture and a feature-rich PMBus command set. The CSD9537xB synchronous buck NexFET smart power stages integrate an intelligent driver and power MOSFETs in a 5 x 6 mm package. Together, the products boast superior transient performance, industry-benchmark telemetry accuracy and outstanding system reliability suitable for enterprise servers, storage and high-end desktop applications. The multiphase Vcore power management system, compliant with Intel’s VR12.5 and VR12 voltage regulation specifications, is available in volume now. The TPS53661, TPS53641 and TPS53631 dc/dc controllers are offered in a 40-pin QFN package and priced at $3.80, $3.30 and $2.80 each/1,000, respectively. The CSD95372BQ5M and CSD95373BQ5M NexFET smart power stages are offered in a 12-pin SON package and priced at $1.05 and $0.90.
