XP Power recently introduced two new series of wide input range chassis and DIN-rail-mount dc-dc converters that offer simple and rapid installation into a variety of industrial and ITE applications.

The DTE06 and DTE10 dc-dc converters feature 6 and 10 W of power and a 4:1 input range, offering a wide tolerance for fluctuating supplies, says the company. With nominal inputs of 12/24 V dc and 24/48 V dc, the series covers inputs between 9 and 75 V dc.

The devices are supplied fully potted in chassis mount format with screw terminals to simplify mounting and connection. A DIN rail mount is optionally available for use in control cabinets and household consumer units. A power-good LED indicator provides at-a-glance confirmation of correct operation.

All of the dc-dc converters are IEC/UL/cUL 62368-1 safety approved and offer 3-kV dc isolation between the supply and load. They also comply with EN55032 Class A emissions with no external components, meaning that no additional filtering is required for EMC compliance. The device itself and the equipment that it's powering benefit from a range of safety features, including input undervoltage, short circuit, and overload protection, says the company. A remote on/off feature allows the dc-dc converters to be easily controlled.

The rugged and competitively priced DTE06 and DTE10 series operate over a -40 to +105°C temperature range and deliver full rated power at temperatures up to +80°C.

The DTE06 series, priced at US$31.20 for 500-piece orders, is available from Allied Electronics, Digi-Key, Mouser, Newark, or directly from XP Power.
