XP Power announced the ECC100 series of 100 Watt single output baseplate cooled AC-DC power supplies designed specifically for use in sealed boxes and harsh environments where wide temperature variations are common place. The conduction cooled units are suited for use in outdoor applications such as wireless communications, lighting and information displays, traffic monitoring, cellular base stations and other sealed enclosure installations, operating from - 40 °C to + 75 °C.
Measuring just 3.3 x 5 x 1.55 inches (83.8 x 127.0 x 39.4 mm), these compact highly efficient units, typically 88%, use conduction cooling to transfer heat through the chassis. No fans or forced airflow is required for the unit to operate at full power.
The ECC100 is available in 5 models covering the nominal output voltages of + 12, + 15, + 24, + 28 or + 48 VDC. An optional surge filter module is available to increase protection of incoming AC surges to level 4 of EN61000-4-5.
A comprehensive set of monitoring signals and control features include remote sense, a combined AC & DC fail signal, and remote on/off capability. A +5 V / 0.5A standby output is provided as standard.
The range meets IEC60959-1 / UL60950-1 / EN60950-1 safety specifications for IT, commercial and industrial equipment. In addition, the units comply with EN550022 level B standard for conducted emissions without the need for additional filtering components.
The ECC100 series is priced at $152.0 in 500 pc quantities and are available from XP Power.
