TDK-Lambda Americas, a group company of the TDK Corporation, has introduced a new line AC-DC power supplies that are designed for LED lighting, signs and display applications with output ratings of 60, 80 and 100 watts. Both constant-voltage and constant-current models are available. These new AL60-100 series are LED drivers/supplies that meet IP66 (splash proof) standards and operate with universal power inputs from 90 to 305VAC with no derating at low line. Power Factor Correction (PFC) is included.

The constant-voltage models (ALV series) are available with 12V, 24V or 36V outputs. While the constant-current units (ALC series) provide from 1 up to 4 Amps with DC outputs ranging from 6 to 48V, depending upon model. All models are convection cooled and can operate with ambient temperatures from -30°C to +70°C (deratings above +50°C). And, they are guaranteed to start-up at very low temperatures down to -40°C. Typical output efficiencies are 85-90% under full load. Other standard features include overcurrent, overvoltage and overtemperature protections. Units are housed in rugged Lexan 920 plastic cases that measure 1.36" H x 1.70" W x 9.49" L.

These power supplies/drivers meet EN55015-B, EN55022-B, CISPR 22-B and FCC-B EMI/EMC standards (conducted and radiated emissions). In addition, these units are safety agency approved to UL8750 (Class 2), EN61347-1, EN61347-2-13, CSA C22.2 No. 60950-1 and carry the CE mark. All supplies have a 3-year warranty.

The ALV60-100 and ALC60-100 series are available now and priced from $42.00 each in quantities of 1k units.
