Available in 1.2V, 1.5V, 1.8V, 2.5V and 3.3V versions, with 1V, 5V and 12V models also being readied, the QRW series quarter-brick dc/dc converters deliver 35A at 3.3VOUT and up to 40A below 3.3VOUT. Measuring 2.3'' x 1.45'', the open-frame converters have a height profile of 0.38'' and achieve efficiencies of 91% at 3.3V full load and 84% at 1.2V. These efficiencies are said to be achieved using synchronous rectification technology and a unique packaging technique. Input voltage range is from 36 to 75V, with the nominal input pegged at 48V. A heatsink can be used to allow operation over extended temperatures and an optional active load-sharing feature is also available. Price is $87 each/1,000.
