Offering full protection against line voltage failures and interruptions, MPS1058 series of built-in UPSs are housed in standard ATX and PS/2 cases to directly replace conventional switched-mode power supplies at the heart of computer or other power sensitive equipment. The unit functions as a normal power supply when ac power is present and as a true on-line UPS during periods of power failure. Energy is stored for backup protection within a small battery pack mounted in a spare disk drive bay or other suitable location within the host system. The unit offers 200W of output power and operation in industrial or other harsh environments.
