Promising the best price/performance ratio for quarter-brick dc/dc converters for 8A to 15A applications, the single output ULQ series offers efficiencies up to 91%, noise figures as low as 25 mVp-p, and full usable power while operating at temperatures up to 70°C. Input voltages are 24V or 48V nominal and output voltages include 1.2V, 1.5V, 1.8V, 2V, 2.5V and 3.3V. Models with output voltages below 2.5V are rated at 15A or 25A while 2.5V and 3.3V units are rated at 15A or 20A. Meeting UL, EN and IEC60950 safety specs via basic isolation, the converters also provide up to 2,250 Vdc of isolation. Surface-mount units come with a heatsink. Other features include a lead-free design, step response of 200 µs, I/O protection, VOUT trim pin, an on/off control function, and output-sense pins. Prices are $38.50 for 15A models and $43.20 for 20A and 25A units each/10K. DATEL INC., Mansfield, MA. (508) 339-3000.
