The Artesyn LES eighth-brick dc/dc converters employ a second-generation power conversion topology that provides up to 93% full load efficiency. Four models in the series offer outputs of 22A at 2.5V, 20A at 3.3V, 13A at 5V, and 6.7A at 12V. Each

Each accepts an input-voltage range of 36 to 75 Vdc and includes protection for input-voltage transients up to 100V for 100 ms. Outputs are adjustable from 90% to 110% of nominal via an external trim resistor. Typical start-up time is 20 ms when driving a resistive load. The converters are specified for operation over an ambient temperature range of -40°C to +85°C. Standard features include under-voltage lockout and non-latching over-voltage protection, plus short-circuit and over-temperature protection. Pricing is $28 each/1,000.
