A new low-profile, front-terminal, valve-regulated, lead-acid battery has been designed with the same capacity as its predecessor, except with a 10% height reduction. Measuring 561 mm x 125 mm x 283 mm, the 12V155FS battery is suited for applications

A new low-profile, front-terminal, valve-regulated, lead-acid battery has been designed with the same capacity as its predecessor, except with a 10% height reduction. Measuring 561 mm x 125 mm x 283 mm, the 12V155FS battery is suited for applications where low-profile, high-capacity battery power is required, such as integrated power enclosures used in the wireless industry, as well as in telecommunication and uninterruptible power supply applications. The 12V155FS is designed for safe operation. Its container and cover are made from UL94 V-0 flame retardant ABS material, lauded for its high resistance to shock and vibration. The battery is designed to avoid acid spills by having it’s separators encased in low-resistance microporous glass fiber, which absorbs the electrolyte in the event of accidental damage to the battery. The 12V battery employs positive and negative plates in a lead-tin-calcium construction. Front terminal connections are designed to make installation fast and easy. The 12V155FS has a capacity of 155 Ah at the 8-hour rate to 1.75 Vpc at 25°C, a capacity of 150 Ah at the 10-hour rate to 1.80 Vpc at 20°C and is said to have a 10-year design life at 25°C. Pricing starts at $346 each. ENERSYS, Reading, PA. (800) 538-3627.
